A Fond Farewell to a SPECTACULAR man! Michael L. DeShazer passed away on Saturday, February 27th due to leukemia. I first met the DeShazer family when we first moved to Colorado almost 31 years ago. Jeanne was my Young Women's Beehive advisor and they had the sweetest little boy, Jon-Michael. Jeanne would never have to worry about Jon-Michael as "her beehives" would fight over who would take care of him.
Michael was a very talented guitar player and wrote over 80 songs. He was in many bands in his life and he and his amazing wife were parents to 8 children: Jon-Michael, Geoff, Dylan, Danielle, Andrea, Stefan, Christian, and Walker.
There's a Train
There's a train and it goes down this line
And it goes very fast and it's always on time
There's a train and it don't make no stops
Yet the people get on and the people get off
There's a train and you ride everyday
Find a comfortable seat 'cause it won't go away
There's a train, it's a wonderful ride
And the scenery is nice put your girl by your side
You can trust the engineer
He's been there for years
He gave his own blood and tears
So have no fears
He's leading you back home
There's a train and it takes all your friends
And you hope they stay 'til you all reach the end
There's a train and when your journey is done
You'll be greated by friends and your dearest loved ones
There's a train and it won't jump this track
And it won't turn around
And it won't come back
There's a train and it's going somewhere
But not all the riders are even aware
That this train is taking them back home.
There's a train and it goes down the line
And it goes very fast and it's always on time.
Good night - til we meet again!
